Lets go surfing now...

Everybody’s learning how, come on and safari with me

and so we did....

Wikkid!

Learning to surf was actually quite easy, performing it however was a bit harder. More on that later.

We had planned to get picked up at 9 am at Eddy Ave (we are gonna say that as often as it takes for you to realize how big that is). But, once at the subway, all clocks seemed to be one hour after our clock... we didnt react at first, because seeing a clock that shows the wrong time is more common than seeing one thats on time. On our trip to Fraser, for example, our cab driver, while listening to a slowed down version of Bob Marley (how dopey is that?) had a clock that was like 4 hours and 23 minutes wrong... just to add to the dopeyness. Anyhow, we did realize that the subway time at least should be on correct time (you can always trust the government, right...), and it turns out that we missed daylight savings time, but at least we got one hour early instead of one hour late.

Our surfing instructors of the day was Nicola, we have no photo, but imagine a french with permed hair, that hasnt been washed in ages, Eddies eyes, looks like a bum (not bum as in ass but as in baglady or hobo.... after all, everybody needs a hobo...), has a heavy french accent, and who wakes up until he goes to sleep. The other guy, who was of a very "huggy" nature was called Boo or Paul (we are not really sure)... here's him doing a Zoolander impersonation...

It wasnt even that good, and we are pretty sure there was something wrong with him. He was kinda funny though. The french guy didnt really do much, although he did make lunch.

So, back to the surfing lessons, we are not sure if we are supposed to give this info away for free, but, there are a couple of steps to it. Some are left blank, and will of course cost ya. We ask no more than what we paid ourselves... which was around... 12000 (in our currency of choice) per person... so, it was a lot of money... maybe...
The board consist of:
Deck
Rails
Bottom
Nose
Tail

Step 1: Find your sweet spot
Step 2: -
Step 3: Titties
Step 4: -
Step 5: -
Step 6: -
Step 7: Surf

Got it? Lets go surfin safari... theres really nothing more to it. Looks easy, doesnt it? Well, it is kinda hard, and right know we are both in serious pain... list of non pain areas:
Feet
Nose
Hands

Maaaamaaa!

Now, food, beer, sleep (not necessarily in that order). Tomorrow, helicopter, plane, Melbourne (very much in that order).

Lyrical quote of the day:
But the stars we could reach,
were just slurpies on the beach

Hej hopp.
