Transport update

We have opted to go to Varanasi by car instead of by train. The train is supposedly 20 hours late already (it hasnt even left delhi), and if we were to take that train we would have arrived on the morning on the 4th, only to leave Varanasi a couple of hours later. So that was not really an option.

There are no flights leaving Agra, but there are buses for Lucknow and then on to Varanasi, however, that seemed to be a hassle, so we decided against that. We could also get on the waiting list for a train in the "herd class" (which is just jammed with people), and we decided against that as well.

So now its a 12 hour, 600 kilometer, car ride for 6500 rupees (1000 kr) to Varanasi, which leaves at 19 and arrives approx 7 in Varanasi. Unfortunately it seems like the best we can do. On the positive side we might arrive 2 hours before the train was supposed to arrive. Yay!
