Beijing, baby!

Leading statement:
We love te leader. The leader is a great man.

Finally landed in Beijing after a bumpy descent by airplane. Turns out the bumpiness was due to it being extremely windy today. No cyclones so far, and we hope to keep it that way.

The hostel we stay at was surprisingly good. Cozy atmosphere, good staff, newly built and a realy great room. In short, a really good place to start.

Oh, and we have a real toilet!!! :O

Spent the day wandering through the Bei Hai park in a zombielike fashion... seeing parents letting their kids do both number 1 and number 2 in the open... makes you wonder if they picked up after their kids... but otherwise than that, it was a nice park with some great views.

Tomollow we will check out the forbidden city, Tian men square, Temple of heaven and Pearl market along with some hutongs. Getting around in Beijing has so far been fairly easy, and it is not that hard to make yourself understood. Definately not as difficult as we had imagined it couldve been.

Now, fried rabbits with a side of dog and some slices of Yak pizza.
